REALISTIC WORK FROM HOME IDEAS:
The whole time my children were young, I tried to find some kind of
work at home income. I realize now, I was looking in all the wrong
places. I was looking into working for someone else. We didn't have
the internet back then so trying to sell crafts or anything else was
tied up in craft malls, flea markets, etc., I rented a booth,
gathered all the things I had made and went to the craft mall
thinking I would sell everything. Boy, was I mistaken. Not one sell.
I ended up giving away the recipe card holders, the pig cutting
boards, the paper towel holders, etc. and gave up on the idea.
It didn't stop me from trying to think of something else that might
work.
I've been through so many, I made tiny jewelry boxes for a company -
you buy the kits and if you are good enough, they buy the finished
jewelry boxes back from you. Every one was perfect and the company
was buying them until they sent a letter with my last order of kits
telling me they didn't need that many.
Another try was with a company who sent you a doll dress kits, gave
you instructions on how to make them and would or was suppose to buy
them from you. I went to work, made up the cutest little doll
dresses only to find out they had discontinued that style or so they
said.
After a few more of these I finally learned it was all about selling
the kits.
I did have a box of miniature jewelry boxes, a dozen identical doll
dresses, a couple of boxes of lamb note holders and several pair of
beaded earrings.
Lesson learned.
When my youngest child started school, I went out and got a "real"
job.
Now I find myself at 50+ with Rheumatoid Arthritis, not able to work
a full time job.
I have a few paying clients for website design and I found that
Affiliates for other websites can make a little money if people click through on your site to the online shopping and
actually buy something, you get a small precentage.

As I go through this process, I'll let you know how it goes.
Selling on Etsy, ebay, even social networking sites like facebook
have yard sale and craft pages that could bring in a few more
dollars.
It's all about investing the time and effort into things that work.
