DO IT YOURSELF:
My husband is quite the Handyman. He knows a little of everything,
so any repairs, projects and remodling are all done without hiring
contractors when possible.
I have tried to learn everything I could from him. I find I'm much
better at getting things ready and being the helper, much like a
nurse to a doctor. I guess our biggest problem, like most people, is
the finishing.
We renovated our barn a few years ago. The big open space
makes for a great flight room for our birds and we enjoy it
too. I'll go over what it took for us to get through
this reno, what we learned. The first thing we needed to do
was to throw out the level and square! Barns aren't built to
be square.
